Analogue modeling is a laboratory technique that allows you to play in small-scale systems and geodynamic real aims the analysis of deformation processes at different scales (from lithospheric to mesoscopic) and the testing of hypotheses derived from the study of evolution of deformation geological structural on the ground. The advantage of analog models is that they offer the opportunity to study the influence of various parameters on the geometry and kinematics of deformation, hardly inferable from the analysis of real data. However, the analogue modelling should not be understood only as the scale reproduction of real life situations, but as a methodology to study the parameters that influence the development of geological processes, and determine their influence on the geometry and kinematics of deformation.
